The Salmon is a proper, traditional English pub with an large wooden bar with plenty of standing and seating room. It has friendly atmosphere without the distractions of fruit machines, dart boards or loud music.
At the bar we serve a great selection of cask ales, local ciders and a wide variety of drinks you would expect from a traditional English pub. Our staff will be more than happy to advise on drinks and offer taster tipples to see what you might enjoy. Always look to give us feedback on any beers so we can gauge what are the local favourites OK.

The Salmon boasts a large garden and a fenced children’s play area to the front of the pub but at a distance as not to interfere with general conversation if sat outside. There are tables directly outside the pub and some within the grassed garden area so you can keep an eye on your little ones whilst still enjoying yourselves and company.
The Salmon has a large car park directly in the grounds of the pub so there is no problem in getting parked up and no distance to walk!
From the North
Leave the M5 at junction 13, then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A419. At the next Roundabout take the 1st exit south on the A38 heading towards Bristol. Continue south for approximately 4 miles, you pass our sister pub The George at this point, continue for another half mile, at the Slimbridge roundabout continue straight over staying on the A38. After a further 2.3 miles you willcross a railway bridge, turn righ immediately after crossing the bridge, signposted to Breadstone. Follow the road for a 3 miles, when you come to a T junction the Salmon is in frnt of you just to the left.
From the South
Leave the M5 at junction 14 and turn left onto the B4509, then at the traffic lights turn right, north onto the A38. Continue north for approximately 1.7 miles, take the turning left to Berkeley, continue on this road until you come into the town of Berkeley. Make a left turn then follow the road around to the right heading out of town, at the roundabout go straight over. The Salmon will be on your left after approximately 1 mile, the total distance from the motorway is 5.8 miles.
We are lucky to have two train stations in close proximity to The Salmon; Stonehouse and Cam Dursley. Neither station is within walking distance, we suggest booking a private taxi for the short journey. For a private hire taxi please try the website and numbers listed below.
